According to multiple reports, Ohio State has reached out to four-star point guard Brandon Williams. This comes after the 6’2″, 185-pound, class of 2018 prospect backed out of his commitment to Arizona.

Williams cited “the climate surrounding U of A” following an ESPN report that Arizona coach Sean Miller was caught on tape discussing a $100,000 payout to then-recruit Deandre Ayton.

Miller has denied the accusation.

Ohio State joins a list of schools with interest in Williams.

“I got calls from Oregon, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, UCLA, Ohio State, Connecticut, Gonzaga, Georgetown; and Kentucky is supposed to be calling,” Williams told 247Sports.

While Williams informed the site that he wants to take visits to Gonzaga and Oregon, there’s another report that suggested Williams might have a trip to Columbus on tap as well.

The Buckeyes have already signed four players from the class of 2018, and that ranked them 23rd nationally.
