Ohio State In First Place After First Day Of The NCAA Wrestling Tournament

The Ohio State wrestling team won 19 out of 20 matches on the first day to put itself in first place in the NCAA Wrestling tournament. With the showing, the Buckeyes compiled 36.0 total points with perennial powers Penn State and Iowa just behind at 28.5 and 27.0 respectfully.

Michigan is fourth with 23.0 points.

The quarterfinal and consolation rounds are occurring today with coverage on the ESPN networks.

Ohio State has more wrestlers still alive than any other program at this point and did everything it needs to do in order to bring another national title back to Columbus. It’s last and only national title happened just a three years ago in 2015.

It’s clearly not over with Penn State hanging around, but stay with us for continuing coverage and results.
