Ohio State Hockey Loses B1G Championship Game to Notre Dame In Overtime

Ohio State and Notre Dame needed extra time to settle the Big Ten Men’s Hockey Championship game in South Bend, Indiana, and unfortunately, the Scarlet and Gray were on the wrong end of fate.

The Buckeyes fell down early 2-0, but continued to work and grind and were able to tie the game up 2-2 just 1:07 into the third period.

From there, neither team could get the go-ahead goal through the rest of the third period, and all the fans got some extra athletic endeavors on skates for free.

Then, with 10:37 left in the overtime, Notre Dame’s Cam Morrison shot a wrister into the back of the net to end things.

It was an amazing year for Ohio State, and one that’s not quite over yet. The Buckeyes will surely be a part of all the NCAA fun when the national tournament is announced.
