Cardale Jones A National Title Holder And Deputy Sheriff?

Sometimes you just can’t make this stuff up.

According to the Port Clinton News Herald, the former Ohio State national title welding quarterback was sworn in as an honorary deputy sheriff for the Ottawa County Sheriff’s office last summer.

He was officially honored by the sheriff’s office and spoke at a father/son banquet at Trinity United Church of Christ in Elliston, OH this past weekend.

Jones still spends much of his time in Ohio, and has befriended Sheriff Steve Levorchick all while making an impact in the community. He’ll now get fitted for an official Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office uniform. Oh to see a picture of that.

Confetti, trophies and deputy badges are how 12-gauge rolls apparently.

There’s no truth to the rumor that Jones will be knighted by the queen of England next week, but at this point, who knows …
