Ohio State vs. Michigan Video Game Rivalry?
Anytime Ohio State has a chance to beat Michigan in something, it’s worth mentioning. To that end, The Buckeyes’ BTN League of Legends team is set to square of on Saturday against Michigan in the BTN League of Legends Tournament Saturday at 7PM Eastern.
All fourteen Big Ten members had a team in the league, and the top eight will square off in the tournament beginning on Friday.
By going undefeated in the regular season at 7-0, the Ohio State team earned the No. 1 seed as the champion of the East division. Illinois earned the No. 2 seed as the West division champ.
It’s not as iconic as football or basketball, but OSU and Michigan will boot up (as opposed to kick off), on Saturday to renew yet another forum where the Scarlet and Gray meet the Maize and Blue.
The champion and runner-up of BTN League of Legends Tournament will get an automatic spot in the League of Legends College Championship in Los Angeles June 7-10.
The tournament schedule is as follows with all games being streamed on BTN2Go and Twitch. This is per a release from BTN:

This past January BTN and Riot Games, the creator of League of Legends, announced a new two-year partnership to launch the second and third BTN League of Legends seasons in 2018 and 2019. League of Legends is a fast-paced, team-oriented (5-v-5) online game of skill and strategy with more than 100 million monthly active players worldwide. The game has become especially popular on college campuses where players have been competing in a College League of Legends competition since 2014. This season is the biggest yet, featuring more than 300 university teams, including more than 30 programs that offer scholarships, playing across the U.S. and Canada.
