Ohio State Football: 3 Likely Landing Spots For Joe Burrow To Transfer To

After an intense spring competition between Joe Burrow, Dwayne Haskins and Tate Martell, the coaching staff at Ohio State seems no closer to naming a starter.

For Joe Burrow, that could mean that his options become wide open with him graduating this spring and becoming eligible to play right away at another school should he transfer.

But what places need a quarterback, and more importantly, where would Burrow feel most comfortable at should this become a reality? Here are three probable landing spots for the kid from Athens, Ohio.

I’m going to start with somewhere Burrow will probably NOT end up, but it’s still a possibility.

It’s not exactly the big time, but OU is still in the FBS Division and if Burrow plays well enough, the NFL scouts and talent evaluators will find him. He can step right in and play for a name brand coach in Frank Solich, and do so in an offense that is tailored to his style.

The problem is that there’s a soon to be junior by the name of Nathan Rourke who threw 39 TDs last year for the Bobcats who already knows the offense and culture.

Still, Burrow would be an upgrade and his dad is the current defensive coordinator for the Bobcats, so there’s a family and familiarity there. He’s from the Athens area, and what better way to start slinging the ball around than to be the hometown kid that came back to be a local hero?
