Ohio State Football: Ranking Each Game In Difficulty For 2018

No. 12 – Sept. 1 vs. Oregon State

Record Last Year: 1-11

The Bottom Line: Oregon State is a mess right now and it’ll take some time to get it all sorted out. New head coach Jonathan Smith has only one way to go (North), but the compass won’t point that way out of the gate.

No. 11 – Sept. 22 vs. Tulane

Record Last Year: 5-7

The Bottom Line: The Green Wave took a small step forward last year, improving to 5-7 in 2017 after a 4-8 campaign in 2016. But there’s just not enough on the roster coming to expect much resistance against a loaded Ohio State team.

No. 10 – Sept. 8 vs. Rutgers

Record Last Year: 4-8

The Bottom Line: Look, I do believe that Chris Ash is going to get the Scarlet Knights program in a much more respectable position, and there has been growth, but even with a bump in recruiting, you just don’t turn on a dime from a combined 114-0 thumping to the hands of Ohio State last couple of years.
