Musa Jallow Named To Training Camp Roster For U 18 USA Basketball

It’s easy to forget how young Musa Jallow is, but if we rewind back to Chris Holtmann’s first recruiting class in Columbus, we are reminded that Jallow reclassified to the 2018 class despite being only a junior in high school.

So, with that in mind comes news that the Jallow will be a part of thirty-two players taking part in the Under 18 USA Basketball training camp that runs from May 31 – June 2 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. All thirty-two players will be competing for a spot on the Under-18 team.

Jallow is one of fifteen first time participants, but most are only just graduating from high school instead of having a year of college experience already under their belt. There are even some players (D.J. Carlton, Keion Brooks, and Joe Girard III) that OSU is currently targeting for the 2019 class that are also taking part.

If anything, the experience will at least be an invaluable setting of competition that can only make the sophomore to be that much better.

The team will be coached by Kansas head coach Bill Self with the finalists being announced June 2 for competition that will take place from June 10-16 in the 2018 FIBA Americas U18 Championship. That eight team international tournament takes place in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
