Ohio State Softball Receives Bid To Gainesville Region of NCAA Tournament

The Big Ten tournament didn’t go exactly like the Ohio State softball team wanted, but it will now get another chance to make good on a season with missed opportunities.

Ohio State was selected to play in the Gainesville region of the NCAA tournament during the selection show, and there’s no doubt it will have its work cut out for it.

Ohio State will take on American Athletic Conference regular season champion USF on Friday at 5PM to get the four team tournament kicked off. From there it’ll be two losses and done, with the last team standing moving on to another four team super regional. Be the team to win there and its off to the 2018 College Women’s World Series in Oklahoma City.

The other teams in the regional include the host No. 2 Florida Gators and Bethune Cookman. Those two will square off at approximately 7:30 PM after the OSU vs. USF game is complete.
