Ohio State Football: Matchup With TCU To Be In Prime Time On ABC

This isn’t really a surprise, but ESPN announced today that Ohio State’s matchup with TCU will be in prime time on ABC this fall as its Saturday night game for week three.

The game will be televised at 8PM Eastern and will be played at a somewhat neutral site — and a place Ohio State knows well — AT&T Stadium. However, TCU does have the name Texas in it, so you can expect quite a few Horned Frog fans to travel the 40 miles or so to Arlington.

ABC’s other Saturday night games for the first three weeks include Louisville vs. Alabama in Orlando (week one), and Penn State at Pitt (week two).

Both Ohio State and TCU figure to be ranked when the preseason polls come out, meaning the game could have some early significant impacts on the national landscape of the College Football Playoff picture.

Ohio State and TCU have met only five times, with the last meeting coming in 1975. The Buckeyes hold a 4-1 advantage in those games.
