Ohio State Men’s Tennis Advances To Semifinals of NCAAs

And here we go folks.

Often the bridesmaid and never the bride, the OSU men’s tennis team has been oh, so close to winning the ultimate prize several times over the last few years, but has ultimately missed out.

It doesn’t just take talent, you also need some breaks to go your way to be the last team standing, and now Ohio State will have that chance.

The Buckeyes avenged an earlier season 4-1 loss to UCLA in Seattle by taking down the Bruins in Winston-Salem, North Carolina tonight by the same 4-1 overall match margin.

As usual, Ohio State got things started on the right foot by taking the doubles point to go up 1-0 before a weather delay hit. UCLA evened things up after the break, but that was about all she wrote as Ohio State went on to put things out of reach by earning the next three points to seal it.

Now Ohio State gets a shot to lift that huge monkey off its back by taking on Wake Forest who got by Texas A&M 4-1 all while enduring the same weather issues.

The national championship is set for Monday at 5PM. Let’s bring it home Bucks.
