Parris Campbell Believes He Should Be On The Short List Of Fastest Player In College

There are plenty of opinions on who’s fast in college football, but Ohio State wide receiver Parris Campbell feels slighted to be left off any list that is put out.

Parris Campbell Believes He Should Be On The Short List Of Fastest Player In College

It’s no secret that Urban Meyer puts a premium on speed — especially at his skill positions. He’s had a few of them, and this year’s team is no exception.

Certainly defensive back Kendall Sheffield fits that bill. He’s not only a flash of speed on defense but is on Ohio State’s track team, and even set some records this spring.

But don’t forget about wide receiver Parris Campbell. In fact, come to think of it, he’s probably not going to let you anyhow. Why’s that you say? Well, Mr. Campbell took to Twitter to react to an article on the the next NFL draft class’s speediest players. One that he was not mentioned in.

That did not sit well with the the 6-1, 208 pounder from Akron. Something had to be done. Clearly everyone is fine with Kendall Sheffield being on the list, but if you’ve seen Campbell take short routes and run away from defenses, there’s no doubt the kid can burn.

The following production was put out by Ohio State football and Campbell. It shows some of exploits in practice and games, including an unofficial sub 4.3 forty-time.

In the video, Campbell lets everyone know that he will have to show prove the naysayers wrong and shows disgust that he’s not even in the top ten.

Go re-watch some film from last year and ask his teammates just how fast he is. You’ll get an overwhelming reaction and response with no arguments left to be made.

He’ll get none from me.
