Boom! Ohio State Gets Commitment From Fort Wayne Wide Receiver

You had a feeling we’d be getting some recruiting news soon in Columbus with the end of OSU’s camp, and sure enough, Ohio State does indeed get a verbal commitment from three-star receiver Craig Young out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

It may not be the big splash four or five start athlete we’ve come to expect under Urban Meyer’s watch, but remember this coaching staff has a track history of getting undervalued kids and plugging them in where it makes sense, and developing them up to a high level.

For Young, it may ultimately be at wide-receiver where kids like Mike Thomas have been overlooked only to blossom as a Buckeye, or could ultimately be on the defensive side of the ball where things seemed to come naturally to him at camp.

For now anyway, Ohio State adds a 6-4, 212 lb. athletic and versatile piece to a class that is slowly beginning to take shape and move up the multiple recruiting services that are out there. It is now firmly in the top ten of most.

Stay close to news over the next few days as this historically tends to be a period to watch with recruits providing their commitment to Ohio State after the camp concludes.
