Ohio State Football's Annual Friday Night Lights Set To Take Place This Friday

Friday Night Lights at Ohio State is typically the main event when it comes to getting big-time recruits in town to showcase. It usually takes place in July, but this year the university is holding the event that’s open to the public this Friday, June 22.

Ohio State Football’s Annual Friday Night Lights Set To Take Place This Friday

If you’re looking for some big recruiting news to come out of Columbus, you might want to stay close to all things Scarlet and Gray after this weekend.

Ohio State has already held a well-attended camp, and now we get word that the annual recruiting extravaganza known as Friday Night Lights is set to take place this coming Friday night, June 22.

That’s almost a full month ahead of the normally scheduled late July date, and it could be an effort for Ohio State to get some of the bigger names still out there on campus and verbally committed prior to the month-long recruiting dead period coming up.

The annual event — free and open to the public — has been a staple since Urban Meyer took the reigns in Columbus. It’s a great way to get kids out to the ‘Shoe at night in front of a crowd to provide a game-day like atmosphere.

There’s no doubt that there will be some big names in attendance, but with such late notice, folks seem to be scrambling to get up to speed. We’ll give full credit to Eleven Warriors here, as they seem to have the most up to date list.
