Boom! Four-Star QB Jack Miller Commits to Ohio State For 2019

Ho-hum. Ohio State is starting to make this recruiting stuff look fairly easy. After getting off to a slow-start by Buckeye standards under Urban Meyer earlier in the year, the commitments have been raining down lately.

In fact, OSU has picked up four blue-chip commitments in the last five days. And it’s not just the 2019 class, but the year after that is beginning to also take shape. The latest of those is one that OSU has been targeting for quite some time, in four-star pro-style quarterback Jack Miller out of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Miller, who stands at 6-4, 210 lbs. stands tall in the pocket and is more in the mold of a Joe Burrow rather than a J.T. Barrett. But that doesn’t mean Miller can’t tuck it down and run when he has to. Far from it in fact.

Miller has rushed for over 1,100 yards in his last two seasons for Chaparral High School, but has started to stand in the pocket more as a polished passer.

It’s now the fourth total commitment for the 2020 class that now sits at No. 2 in the country behind Miami according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

There’s obviously still a long way to go before anyone starts ringing the victory bell for a couple classes away from now, but what’s being put together is yet another stellar one for a coach that continues to orchestrate some pretty phenomenal classes in Columbus.
