Ohio State Football: Summer Projected Two-Deep

Spring is over, the incoming freshman have made it to campus and we’re beyond the transfer window. It sounds like another time to re-visit where things stand with the depth chart as we get ready for things to heat up for real.

Here is our latest projection of the Ohio State football depth chart in the throws of summer.

Quarterback

1. DWayne Haskins, Jr.
3. Tate Martell*

You know the deal by now. Joe Burrow is off eating crawfish and practicing his Cajun accent in Baton Rouge, so we’ve taken him out of the mix. It now appears as though Dwayne Haskins is the guy, but you can still look for some packages for Tate Martell to be installed in the offense.

Running Back

1. J.K. Dobbins
2. Mike Weber

There’s really no reason to make a change here. Us and everyone that writes about the program have had Dobbins as the starter based on what we all witnessed last year.

However, don’t count out a healthy Weber as the season progresses. Both backs are talented and both will get a bushel of carries with the hot-hand getting the all most likely as the game unfolds.
