Ohio State Football: 3 Things That Must Happen For Nick Bosa To Win The Heisman

The Heisman Trophy is supposed to go to the best player in College Football annually, but we all know it really goes to an offensive player that has tangible stats and highlights. It is in fact, a popularity contest of epic proportions.

Cornerback turned big-play specialist on offense Charles Woodson was the last primarily defensive player to win the thing back in 1997, but there was a method to the madness that the Wolverine coaching staff employed. Woodson got enough touches on offense and was cemented as a kick returner to play the highlight game needed to push the voting over the top.

Fast forward to 2018 and there’s another defensive performer that might just be the best player in all the country, yet the road will be an uphill one for him to win it. He goes by the name of Nick Bosa and he’s ready to terrorize offensive lineman and their backfield mates, but it likely won’t be enough to get an invite to New York.

However, we have a orange-colored reality-star as president of the United States, so never say never. Here’s three things that must happen for Bosa to stiff arm his offensive competitors to have a shot at the most coveted individual trophy in all of sports.
