Unless you’ve been living in a bunker for the last couple of weeks, you no doubt know that the media availability has been canceled until further notice. This, as a means to get to the bottom of the ongoing investigation into how Urban Meyer and the rest of the athletic staff handled the domestic abuse allegations of former assistant Zach Smith.

As a result, the only video, news, and pictures coming out of the team environment have come via the official team Twitter account.

But that changed today.

Acting head coach Ryan Day shared a very thorough letter to members of the media today outlining the progress of each position group. There weren’t a whole lot of surprises in there, but it’s clear there are still several positions still up for grabs.

Linebacker, center, and the safety position all are still being hotly contested, but each assistant coach loves the potential of what they have. We’ve linked the complete letter at the top for your reading pleasure.

Imagine though, getting an email from Ohio State today. You and I both know what many members of the media thought it would be about, but alas, no.

The waiting game on what will be done with Urban Meyer continues.
