At least we weren’t too late to the party.

Over the weekend, we decided to point out that Joe Burrow was entangled in a hotly contested quarterback race at LSU. All indications and comments from head coach Ed Orgeron was that the competition was too close to call.

However, that changed today.

Citing Burrow’s experience and decision making, the 6-4, 216 lb. junior out of Athens, Ohio was named the starter over the big-armed Myles Brennan. Orgeron announced the decision in a team meeting today.

Folks in Columbus and across the nation will get an early opportunity to tune in this weekend as well, as the Tigers play the Miami Hurricanes on national television Sunday night at 7:30 PM.

All of Buckeye Nation congratulates Mr. Burrow.
