Ohio State Primed To Be Only The Second Program Ever To 900 Wins All-Time

With a win Saturday over Rutgers, Ohio State can join Michigan as one of only two programs ever to have 900 or more wins.

This has flown under the radar to some extent, but with the win on Saturday coupled by the loss by Texas, Ohio State now sits in second place in all-time wins with 899, just ahead of the Longhorns at 898.

That’s more than Nebraska (893), Alabama (892), Notre Dame (887), Oklahoma (885), Penn State (879), USC (835), and Tennessee (833). Those are your top ten in the correct order.

If you notice that number, then you can probably look ahead to a potential milestone this week because, yes, we take math in school these days.

If Ohio State can find a way to be Rutgers at home on Saturday, it will reach the magical 900 win plateau all-time in college football and be join just one other program.

That program of course is Michigan that sits all-alone atop the mountain at 943 wins. OSU did have to vacate twelve wins from the whole Jim Tressel tattoo-gate thing or it would be even closer.

But for now, becoming just the second program ever to reach such a significant milestone bears watching.

As it stands, Ohio State is favored over Rutgers by 35 points.
