When the season first started, many of the experts had Ohio State just on the outside looking in when it came to getting into the College Football Playoff. Even the ESPN Playoff Predictor had the Buckeye with the sixth best chance prior to the season.

Now that we are two weeks in however, things have changed. A lot of that has to do with the emergence of Dwayne Haskins at quarterback and the dynamic that he brings to the offense.

So now, as we check in on the ESPN Playoff Predictor one more time, Ohio State now has the second best chance to get into the playoffs at 57% behind just Alabama who has a 68% chance.

Georgia, Oklahoma and Clemson are the other three teams that have a 50% chance or greater.

Of course the game this week in Arlington, Texas against TCU will go a long way in determining where things stand, so let’s not take it for granted.
