Pro Football Focus is a website dedicated to thorough analysis of the National Football League and NCAA Division 1 football. They have advanced and unique stats that dig into the performance of today’s teams in both the NFL and NCAA.

They put out weekly releases on some of these measurements, and this week one of them was very, very kind to the Ohio State defensive line. According to PFF, the Buckeye line has been the best in the country in percentage of pass-rushing wins, and it’s not really even close.

By watching the game, it’s easy to see guys like Nick Bosa, Chase Young, and Robert Landers beating their men, but with this published stat, there’s proof that the D-line is flat-out getting it done.

OSU is first in percentage wins with 17.9 %, followed somewhat surprisingly by USF at 15.7% in second. In third is Ohio State’s opponent this week, TCU at 14.6%, then Clemson and and Mississippi State at 14.1% and 13.9% respectively.

Based on this stat, we should see two of the best defensive-lines try to control things on Saturday in Arlington.
