Nick Bosa Out For Tulane, Having Further Tests

At his weekly Monday press conference, Urban Meyer confirmed that Nick Bosa will be out next week against Tulane.

All of Buckeye Nation let out a collective exhale when Bosa remained on the ground after trying to speed rush around the end to get to TCU quarterback Shawn Robinson early in the second half Saturday.

It was evident almost immediately that something somewhat significant had happened to the lower abdomen/groin of the most feared pass rusher in college football.

As it turned out, Bosa went into the locker room and returned in street clothes, leaving us all with questions about the extent to the injury and any timetable for return.

Urban Meyer addressed the Bosa injury during his wide-ranging press conference that frankly had more to do with the Zach and Courtney Smith situation than anything else, but confirmed that Bosa would be out for Saturday’s game.

Yeah, he’s getting further tests this week, he will not play this week, further tests on an abdominal and groin issue we’re dealing with.

So we wait to see what the further tests say and if Bosa can come back for the all-important game in Happy Valley against Penn State. It should be noted that it’s not easy to come back from a groin injury, and any attempt to do so too early can result in aggravation or further damage.

We’ll let you know as we find out more here at Buckeye Wire.
