We finally have some movement in the AP Poll after Ohio State made an impressive statement by beating Penn State in whiteout conditions. The Buckeyes are No. 3.
The week six AP Poll is out and we have a little movement in the top five. With it’s big win over Penn State, on the road, in a prime-time white out affair, Ohio State leap frogged Clemson to take over the No. 3 spot.
The Buckeyes’ win was nothing short of an instant classic, and will be talked about when these two matchup in years to come. It was a game in which Dwayne Haskins had to show his perseverance and resiliency, and one in which we learned a lot about this year’s Ohio State team.
We also learned that James Franklin is not happy about his team when comparing them to Ohio State after a post game press conference tirade. Also of note is the fact that Ohio State is closing the gap on Georgia and received a 1st place vote this week.
Not that all of this matters much, but it’s still fun to talk about. The Buckeyes will take on Indiana next Saturday, and should be heavily favored in their next four games.
Here’s the rest of the AP Poll, with first-place votes in parentheses:
- Alabama (58)
- Ohio State (1)
- Clemson (1)
- Notre Dame
