In case your into these types of things, Ohio State made a big move in the fake world of winning games via ESPN’s Playoff Predictor. According to the new numbers by way of whatever crazy formula is used, Ohio State has now jumped up to having a 74% chance of making the College Football Playoff.

That’s a move up from last week when it had 57% chance using the same metrics, and it has everything to do with the win over Penn State, since the ESPN FPI matchup predictor had Ohio State losing that game. In other words, take the news for what it’s worth.

The Buckeyes are now just behind Alabama’s 75% and should be favored quite significantly in their remaining games. As we all know though, championships and playoff berths are not obtained on paper.

It’s now off to get ready for an Indiana homecoming this weekend. Ohio State would be well-advised to not pat itself on the back.
