Ohio State Has Taken Part In The Two Most Watched NCAA Games Of 2018 So Far

Just for inquiring and interested minds — it’s worth noting that people love them some Ohio State football. Either that, or some folks are watching, waiting with abated breath, hoping for the Buckeyes to fail.

While there’s probably some truth to both, there’s no doubt that when Ohio State plays, television sets and streaming devices perk up, take note and hum loudly. To prove that fact, all you have to do is point to the ratings so far this year.

There’s plenty of more games to play, but so far at least, Ohio State has taken part in the two most watched college football games of the year according to Darren Rovell.

The top watched game was by far the Ohio State vs. Penn State game last Saturday in all the white out nonsense. I mean who can blame viewers — it had almost as much drama dripping from it as This Is Us.

So which game was second? No, it wasn’t a top ten matchup between Notre Dame and Stanford, or a clash between SEC titans. No, instead it was Ohio State’s prime-time game against TCU in Arlington.

There’s no truth to the rumor that television executives are salivating at the next Ohio State prime-time game, but there might be an effort to get the game in East Lansing against Michigan State on the prime-time radar next.

We shall see.
