In case you missed the recent news last week, according to Andrew Lind who has as good of sources as you can have on these sorts of things, Ohio State is set to wear all black alternate uniforms for the game against Nebraska on November 3.

In a later Tweet reply to the original, Lind goes on to state that “the Buckeyes’ black alternate will be the same design as the 2015 Penn State game, but on the Vapor Untouchable template instead of the Mach Speed template.”

We’re not entirely sure what all that jargon means, but the uniforms Ohio State used against Penn State in 2015 look like this:

Like it or not, alternate uniforms have been a part of Ohio State for years now despite the clamoring of many traditionalists who forget that the Buckeyes’ uniforms have changed multiple times of the years anyhow.

At Buckeye Wire, we like the different looks — especially for special occasions — so much so that we did a piece on the top alternate uniforms of all-time seen in Columbus. It makes you wonder if the game against Nebraska will have some branding around it and end up being a night game with this news.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
