Boy has it been a long and sobering two weeks. After being considered a clear No. 2 in the country by many pundits, one game — an embarrassing one at that against Purdue — changed all of that.

Now Ohio State is barely inside the top ten in the CFP Rankings, and it must try to bounce back and fix some of those glaring weaknesses Urban Meyer has been losing sleep over.

Ohio State is a prohibitive favorite against Nebraska, but there’s still some keys to this team gaining some momentum. Here’s three of them to the game against the Cornhuskers and moving forward.

Get Nasty On Offense

Ohio State has gotten too cute. Urban Meyer is a spread guy, but he’s been known to run power out of those formations since his arrival in Columbus — until this year.

Things got off to a good start in the running game, but as Dwayne Haskins continued to sling laser-guided bombs down the field, the team got away from the running game and culture of the program.

It’s time to get back to that. After all, it is November.

The Buckeyes must come out with an attitude, kick the Nebraska defensive line in the teeth and start blowing people off the ball to open up some running lanes. It’s time, and if it doesn’t get done this week, it may never happen in 2018.
