Ohio State Remains At No. 10 In Latest College Football Playoff Poll

After the humbling and embarrassing loss to Purdue Saturday night, Ohio Sate fall out of the top ten to No. 11.

Ohio State is getting no respect from the College Football Playoff Committee, and I guess to some extent it makes sense. The Buckeyes remained No. 10 in the latest College Football Playoff Poll despite some teams losing in front of them.

The lack of respect clearly points to the opponents it has beaten and the inability to display any kind of game control over the last few weeks. Of course nothing hurts perception more than the blowout loss in prime-time to Purdue, and here we are.

Heck, even a two-loss LSU team is ranked not one spot, but three spots ahead of one-loss Ohio State.

But here’s the deal. It’s not time to panic here. If — and it’s a big if — the Buckeyes can run the table with a quality win on the road in East Lansing and a win over a likely top five Michigan team, then win the Big Ten title in Indy, things will change around fairly quickly.

Here’s the complete College Football Playoff Rankings after the second week of release:
