Which Ohio State Alternate Uniforms Do Fans Love Most... The Results Are In

Ohio State took the field in an all black uniform trimmed in scarlet against Nebraska on Saturday. Many fans loved them, while others can’t stand the break from tradition. Either way, every fan has an opinion and you spoke loudly in our poll.

Last week, we asked you to let your voice be heard and tell us what your favorite alternate uniform Ohio State has worn in the past. The results are in with an overwhelming winner.

Coming in with a whopping 52% of the vote were the “Dark Night At the Shoe” all black rendition of the Buckeye uniform. Ironically, this uni landed at No. 5 on our list of top alternates.

Placing second in our poll was a tie with more traditional roots. “Dimond Quest” (Oregon 2015) and “Rivalry” (Michigan 2012) both garnered 15% of the vote each.

“Music and Cannonfire” (Nebraska 2016) came in third with just 8% and in last with only 1% was the “1961 Pro Combat” (Wisconsin 2011).

A modest 7% of you said some other alternate uniform was your favorite. We’re wondering if it wasn’t the solid gray look from the 2017 contest with Penn State. We didn’t love them at first, and maybe it’s the memory of an epic comeback, but the more we see them, the more favorable they become.

So there you have it. You like the all black Ohio State duds far and away, unless you think they’re just that… duds.
