Ohio State vs. Michigan: 3 Things We Learned In Victory

Ohio State whipped Michigan, there’s no other way around it. It was a bit unexpected, and here’s three things we learned.

Michigan came into Columbus favored for the first time since 2011, and first time on the road since 2000. The confidence was high, but in the end Ohio State flat-out took the Wolverines behind the wood shed to the tune of 62-39.

It’s the most points the Buckeyes have scored in the series, and there’s a lot to talk about when all the dust settled.

Here’s three things we learned.

Always Respect Your Opponent

Michigan came into this game with its head held high, guaranteeing wins, going on a so-called revenge tour, and simply all-out disrespecting their opponent that, by the way, was still pretty good in its own right despite some close shaves throughout the year.

In the end, it bit Michigan in the Maize and Blue ars. You can definitely use many of what came out of the Wolverine camp as bulletin board material, and though you never need a reason to get up for The Game, you can bet there was extra motivation from the Buckeye side.

So here’s a lesson for you Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. Always respect your opponent, take the high road and use your play on the field to do the talking.

Just like Ohio State did.
