The Buckeyes lead High Point 37-28 at halftime.

The Buckeyes got off to a slow start on offense, but a pair of three pointers by Kaleb Wesson and guard Luther Muhammad sparked a Buckeye run that gave them a nine point lead at half. Muhammad lit it up for 14 points in the first half.

The Ohio State defensive play has been stellar in the first half, and if this continues and the Buckeyes keep shooting well from three point land, they will most likely pull away with a comfortable lead in the second half.

High Point has used some of the same principles of double-teaming the post and spacing on offense that has given the Buckeyes fits in previous games. It worked for a while but once OSU began to be more patient and take care of the ball, the score has opened up.

For High Point, forward Ricky Madison leads the team in scoring with six points. Now it’s up to Ohio State to continue to play good ball defense on thee guards and be patient on the offensive end to not let High Point back in the game.
