Dwayne Haskins Sends Cryptic Tweets After Justin Fields Transfer News

As The Scarlet And Gray World Turns.

We’re still waiting for Dwayne Haskins to announce his future intentions regarding the NFL Draft, but that hasn’t stopped the Heisman finalist from leaving everyone hanging with mixed messages.

He has been very sincere about being on the fence, stating that he’s “50/50” on the decision with no timetable. Yet there he was sitting with his good friend Justin Fields and also Urban Meyer at the Ohio State basketball game yesterday.

But perhaps more intriguing are the couple of tweets he sent out after the news of Fields’ transfer decision.

Okay, so we really have no idea what this means. Does it mean Haskins is off to the NFL, or that Fields’ coming to Ohio State is curious because he’s still considering a return to Columbus for his junior season?

Then, there was this on the same day. Breakout receiver Chris Olave asked for the jersey No. 7 on Twitter, with the following response from Haskins:

That of course leads many to speculate that Haskins is coming back, but I wouldn’t bank on it. I think he would surprise the world if he decided to do so with so much at stake at the next welcome.

The truth in all of this is that Haskins is likely just messing with everyone. He’s got until January 15 to decide and declare if he so decides. We’ll have news as soon as it becomes available.
