Dwayne Haskins moves on to achieve another dream, enter NFL

Dwayne Haskins, a longtime Ohio State Buckeyes fan and Heisman Trophy finalist, has declared for the NFL draft.  The junior quarterback will be leaving Columbus to pursue his other dream of playing professionally in the NFL but is still a Buckeye for life.

Haskins came to Ohio State as a four-star prospect out of the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland where he was rated the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the  2016 class.  Now, the junior leaves Columbus as a Heisman Trophy finalist, rated the top quarterback in the draft by multiple analysts.

Though his final decision was not surprising, this video taken in the spring of 2008, shows just how much he loved the Buckeyes.  Haskins always dreamed of playing football for Ohio State, while wearing the No. 7 jersey.

Now that being the starting quarterback for the scarlet and gray is under his belt, he can finally check off the next dream on his list.

We thank Haskins for everything he has done at Ohio State and wish him nothing but the best entering the NFL Draft.

Let the great offseason debate begin.  We now ponder if former Georgia quarterback Justin Fields or longtime Buckeye Tate Martell will take the first offensive snap under center next season.
